Radiologist Headshots | Philadelphia & Main Line Portrait Photographer

A new breast health center is opening up in Haverford, and I was hired to photograph their radiologists for use in marketing materials. Yesterday each doctor stopped by my Ardmore studio for a quick session, they had their proofing gallery by 6PM, and their final edits mid-day today.

This afternoon I got this message from the director who hired me:

"We are retaining your contact info and I'm betting we'll be circling back to you. You made this easy and the photos are superb. No one will be believe they're radiologists....people will think we hired models!"

That made my day.

Main Line Philadelphia dSLR Camera Lessons by Aliza Schlabach Photography

This morning I had a lot of fun giving my first education client, Kevin, dSLR camera lessons. He's heading to Utah this summer with his family and wanted to learn how to really take advantage of the Canon Rebel he got a year or two ago.

I'm not a big fan on getting up in front of a crowd or teaching a big class, but I LOVE connecting with individuals on a really personal basis to help them learn and grow. We went over basic camera functions in manual and aperture priority modes (ISO, shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation), and went over his lenses and mine, talking about the strengths and weaknesses of each. We touched on light, composition, what to work on at home, and even gave him a quick Photoshop and Lightroom demonstration. I look forward to our next session when we're going to get outside and start putting the theory to practice.

If you'd like to get out of automatic mode with your dSLR camera and discover all of the creative control you could have, contact me to discuss one-on-one tutoring.

Baby and Family Photographer | Finger Painting Session in my Ardmore, Pennsylvania Studio

I love doing cake smashes, but this baby boy / toddler was 14 months old and his parents wanted to do something a little different. I suggested fingerpainting (which we did at the end of the session -- see some of his other photos here) and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. For the baby. For the mom and dad. And for me.

Take a look at A's fingerpainting session below, and contact me if you'd like to talk about doing this with your little one!

Aliza Schlabach Photography | Main Line Portrait Photographer | Products | The Lagniappe Canvas

This is the gorgeous, rustic Lagniappe Canvas. Your image is printed on a beautiful, fine-grain piece of canvas, and then mounted between two pieces of unique reclaimed barnwood. The frame hangs from twine, and lovely copper wire completes the look.

This is just one of the many ways I can help you display the photographs we create together, working so well for family, individual, pet, and engagement photos. Also check out my heirloom albums, acrylic block desk art, matted prints in a handmade glass box, and more!

The Auction and Gift Box by Aliza Schlabach Photography | Ardmore, PA

This is the Aliza Schlabach Photography gift box which includes a framed session and print voucher (and a few Lindt white chocolate truffles because -- yum). This particular box is headed to my kids' elementary school silent auction fundraiser; two more went out this month to the upcoming Fox Chase Cancer Center's Night for the Fight silent auction as well as Team CMMD Foundation's Food Fight silent auction. It feels really good give back! :-)

Looking for a special gift with a fantastic presentation? These gift boxes and session vouchers are also available for purchase.

Aliza Schlabach Photography | PlayBook: A Gorgeous Album | Main Line Portrait Photographer

This week I introduced my two high end albums: the leather "SoHo" album with thick pages, and the eco-friendly, animal-friendly "Lush" album. Today I'd like to tell you about my most affordably-priced album -- which, I have to say -- is still absolutely gorgeous. This is the "PlayBook".  Like my other albums, it has a hard cover, lovely fabric and personalized photo cover options, and a lay-flat seamless design. Unlike most "economy" books, however, this is NOT press printed (like on an inkjet printer), but is created from true photographic prints.  This album absolutely blows books from Shutterfly, Apple, etc out of the water.

I have samples of all three album types in my studio (along with other products such as canvases hung from reclaimed barnwood, prints behind acrylic glass, prints on metal, acrylic block desk art, matted prints in handmade copper and glass boxes, and more). Contact me to schedule a FREE consultation so we can plan your perfect photo session and you can see all the beautiful ways that your photos can be displayed in your home.
