Self Portrait

Hi! I'm Aliza Schlabach.

I am a portrait photographer serving the Greater Philadelphia Area and the Main Line. I’ve been in business for almost 10 years, and my studio is located on Main Street in Manayunk.

Studio portraiture makes up the majority of my business, including boudoir, headshots and personal branding, and heirloom portraiture.

My Photography

I absolutely LOVE that photography combines three distinct skills and passions of mine: art, technical skill, and working with people.

Connecting and laughing with my clients, bringing out their most gorgeous self, and giving them some of the best photos they’ve ever had of themselves is so incredibly rewarding.

Boudoir photography allows me to empower women, men, and non-binary folk — I am super LGBTQ+ friendly! — and show them how beautiful they truly are. I pride myself in creating a safe space that is welcoming to all, and do everything I can to create an environment and connection that allows my clients to feel supported, special, authentic, and sexy.

For headshots and heirloom portraiture... making images that pop off the page or screen makes me giddy. I shoot for eyes filled with light and expression and faces that are true to the person inside. I seek to capture images that stand out, but are honest, alive, and intriguing.

My Life

I'm a mom to a girl and boy who are both in high school (!!) and are growing up way too fast. My husband Kevin has always been my biggest supporter, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

When I'm not with the family, behind my camera, or editing photos on my laptop, I try to spend as much time as possible with my other passions: travel, gardening, music, great food, and my friends. I recently completed my open water scuba diving certification, and learned pickleball as well. Life is good, and too short — we have to soak up every minute of it!

So... how do you say your name?

People sometimes worry about how to pronounce my name.

Half the time they say it correctly --  "uh-LEE-zuh"
Half the time they say the incorrect "uh-LYE-zuh".

And then there's the last name.
It's "shlah-bahk".

I should have kept my maiden name. *sighs*

But seriously, don't worry if you get it wrong - I'm used to it. :-)
