After a mild winter, my kids and I were all excited to finally get a good snow day to stay home from school and play together. After a morning of snowball fights, making short fat snowmen, sipping hot chocolate, and playing video games, my daughter Maya and I dug out my box of tulle and together made this skirt. Then she actually agreed to walk over to Haverford College with me for a 15 minute photo shoot -- she was such a trooper and her own ray of sunshine in the bitter cold! We made magic together; this top photo is definitely going up on our wall! #PrintYourPhotos

Main Line Philadelphia Family and Child Photographer | Those eyes!
These shots are from one of my fall family sessions at Haverford College. Take a close look at these little girl's eyes - aren't they amazing?!?! Just gorgeous.
This was one of those sessions where mom and dad thought the kids were behaving terribly, but they were just adorable. It's so funny how we're so nervous about our kids' behavior during important moments, when really... they're just being kids! I do the same thing... when out at a restaurant or in another adults' house, I always feel like my kiddos are being little monsters. Maybe sometimes they are. But anyway, I digress...
What I'm trying to say is... relax. 80% of my parents think their kids are being terrible, and (aside from a couple of 2 year old toddlers... because... well, being 2 is hard) these kids are almost always great. Let me play and be goofy with the kids, and we'll become fast buddies. We WILL get those smiles and cute moments. :-)

This morning I had the pleasure of taking photos for a family of four at the gorgeous Appleford Estate in Villanova, PA. "E", the cute little two year old redhead, was happy as long as she could move around and explore, so it was a fun shoot with lots of running around. Her one month old baby sister was chill and content, and everyone enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and taking our our time capturing the moments on a beautiful, warm and sunny morning. My assistant Tasha did a great job of keeping harsh sunlight out of everyone's faces, and we ended up with a lovely collection of lifestyle and posed images.
