So, what exactly is bridal boudoir? Simply put, it's a photo shoot that celebrates a bride's beauty and sensuality in the lead up to her wedding day. It's a chance to pamper yourself, feel confident in your own skin, and create an amazing surprise for your spouse-to-be. It's not just about the photographs, it's about the experience. Now, I know what you might be thinking. "But Aliza, I'm not a model! I don't look like those girls in magazines!" Let me tell you, that's okay! Bridal boudoir is all about celebrating YOUR beauty - not some unrealistic standard set by society. Whether you're curvy or slender, tall or short, every bride deserves to feel beautiful and worthy.
We’ll start the day with professional hair and makeup (unless you prefer to do your own). Nothing makes you feel like a movie star like having one of my artists working on your hair while another does your makeup… all while you sit back and relax.
When it comes to what to wear for your bridal boudoir session, I've got you covered. Literally. I have a huge client wardrobe including tons of lingerie options and even a wedding veil. Not so into lingerie? That’s ok! You can do classy nudes, sport an athletic tank and panty, perhaps a cozy off the shoulder sweater and knee high socks, or even throw on your partner’s button down shirt. The point is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and sexy in a way that makes you feel amazing.
Now, let's talk about how to surprise your fiancé with your beautiful images. One option is to give them a luxurious hand-crafted album filled with your gorgeous shots. And what better way to make it extra special than by wearing one of the pieces of lingerie featured in your photo shoot? Another idea is to send your love a retro viewfinder filled with spicy images right before the wedding. Or you can just get digitals, and send a photo a day for the week or month leading up to the wedding. Talk about a fun way to build anticipation for the big day!
So, what will your photos look like? I have so many setup options… we can do dark and moody environmental boudoir around the studio which includes a dark green couch and red floral mural, a giant gold ornate mirror, huge windows, a blue velvet sofa, a bed with luxurious crystal chandelier, an egg chair, and a textured copper wall… plus bonus setups of silhouettes, film noir, the red room, a shower set, and even the ability to end the session with a hot bubble bath in the claw foot tub! The possibilities are endless, and we will tailor the experience to fit your unique style during your consultation.
I pride myself on being warm, unintimidating, and making my clients feel at ease during their sessions. It’s not every day that you're posing in lingerie (or your birthday suit!) in front of a camera, and I know the thought of that can be really weird… but I promise it’ll feel totally normal by the end LOL!
