Tommy Highland needed actor headshots portraying his different looks and personalities. We started with his full beard... then he shaved down to a mustache, and finally took it all off (the facial hair, not the clothes. ;-) We had a lot of fun playing around in my studio.
A new breast health center is opening up in Haverford, and I was hired to photograph their radiologists for use in marketing materials. Yesterday each doctor stopped by my Ardmore studio for a quick session, they had their proofing gallery by 6PM, and their final edits mid-day today.
This afternoon I got this message from the director who hired me:
"We are retaining your contact info and I'm betting we'll be circling back to you. You made this easy and the photos are superb. No one will be believe they're radiologists....people will think we hired models!"
That made my day.
I had a fun headshot session this morning at my studio in Ardmore with this lovely woman. Makeup by the fabulous Sara of Elegance Artistry.
Hurray for Spring! It's that time of year again... time for getting outside with our little ones and capturing fun and laughter at the playground. These photos were taken at Elwell Field Playground in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
This morning I had a lot of fun giving my first education client, Kevin, dSLR camera lessons. He's heading to Utah this summer with his family and wanted to learn how to really take advantage of the Canon Rebel he got a year or two ago.
I'm not a big fan on getting up in front of a crowd or teaching a big class, but I LOVE connecting with individuals on a really personal basis to help them learn and grow. We went over basic camera functions in manual and aperture priority modes (ISO, shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation), and went over his lenses and mine, talking about the strengths and weaknesses of each. We touched on light, composition, what to work on at home, and even gave him a quick Photoshop and Lightroom demonstration. I look forward to our next session when we're going to get outside and start putting the theory to practice.
If you'd like to get out of automatic mode with your dSLR camera and discover all of the creative control you could have, contact me to discuss one-on-one tutoring.
I love doing cake smashes, but this baby boy / toddler was 14 months old and his parents wanted to do something a little different. I suggested fingerpainting (which we did at the end of the session -- see some of his other photos here) and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. For the baby. For the mom and dad. And for me.
Take a look at A's fingerpainting session below, and contact me if you'd like to talk about doing this with your little one!
I have soooo many photos from this one year old boy's super fun photo session with mom and dad at my Ardmore studio. Bomber jacket and vintage ride on car. His first time seeing helium balloons in person. Snuggle and nursing breaks with mommy. And stay tuned for the awesome finger painting session coming in the next blog post!
